Features and Traits


Darkvision. Ea can see in dim light within 60′ as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. She can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of gray.

Hellish Resistance. Ea has resistance to fire damage

Infernal Legacy. Ea knows the thaumaturgy cantrip. At 3rd level, she can cast hellish rebuke once per day as a 2nd level spell. At 5th level, she can cast the darkness spell once per day. Charisma is her spell casting ability for these spells.


Favoured Enemy. Ea has advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track fiends, jackalweres and orcs, as well as on Intelligence checks to recall information about them.

Natural Explorer. When Ea makes an Intelligence or Wisdom check related to forest and mountain terrain, her proficiency bonus is doubled if she is using a skill she is proficient in. While travelling for a hour or more in forest or mountain terrain, she gains the following benefits: difficult terrain doesn’t slow her group’s travel. Her group can’t become lost except by magical means. Even when engaged in another activity while travelling (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking) she remains alert to danger. If she is travelling alone, she can move stealthily at a normal pace. When she forages, she finds twice as much food as she normally would. While tracking other creatures, she also learns their exact number, their sizes, and how long they passed through the area.

Fighting Style: Two-Weapon Fighting.

Spellcasting. Ea knows six spells from the ranger spell list and has 4 1st level slots, 3 2nd level slots and 2 3rd level slots.

Primeval Awareness. Ea can use her action to expend a spell slot to focus her awareness on the region around her. For 1 minute per level of the spell slot she expends, she can sense whether the following types of creatures are present within 1 mile of her (or within up to 6 miles if she is in mountain terrain): aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends and undead. This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or numbers.

Extra Attack.

Land’s Stride. Moving through nonmagical difficult terrain costs Ea no extra movement. She can also pass through nonmagical plants without being slowed by them and without taking damage from them if they have thorns, spines or a similar hazard. In addition she has advantage on saving throws against plants that are magically created or manipulated to impede movement, such as those created by the entangle spell.

Hide In Plain Sight. Ea can spend 1 minute to create camouflage for herself from mud, dire, plants, soot or other naturally occurring materials. Once camouflaged she can try to hide by pressing yourself up against a solid surface, such as a tree or wall, that is at least as tall and wide as she is. She gains a +10 bonus to dexterity (Stealth) checks as long as she remains there without moving or taking actions. Once she moves or takes an action or a reaction, she must camouflage herself again to gain this benefit.

Ranger Archetype: Hunter.

Horde Breaker. Once on each of your turns when Ea makes a weapon attack, she can make another attack with the same weapon against a different creature that is within 5 feet of the original target and within range of your weapon.
Multiattack Defence. When a creature hits Ea with an attack, she gains a +4 bonus to AC against all subsequent attacks made by that creature for the rest of the turn.

Feature: Wanderer. Ea has an excellent memory for maps and geography, and can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around her. In addition, she can find food and fresh water for herself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water and so forth.

Cloak of the Elvenkind – While you wear this cloak with the hood up, Wisdom (perception) checks made to see you have disadvantage, and you have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide, as the cloak’s colour shifts to camouflage you. Pulling the hood up or down requires an action.

Solissia – crafted over 200 years ago by a sun elf blacksmith and enchanted by a moon elf wizard this shortsword has +1 to hit and damage.

Raised by her human mother, a cleric of Mielikki, Ea was made to be a part of the natural world from a very early age. Her mother could not hide her daughters fiendish heritage, but she did not talk about it and Ea knew instinctively it was something that she should not enquire after. The only time her mother made reference to her nature was when she was warning her away from civilised places. She grew up with almost a fear of towns and cities because of her mother’s assurance that the people would treat her with suspicion or hatred. Three months ago her mother claimed she needed to make an urgent journey. She did not return a week later like she said she would. Ea waited for two months until finally she left disoriented and spiritually alone.
